Peaceful Breezes

Tonight (or should I say morning? It is nearly 1:30am) is one of those perfectly cool and peaceful moments in time.  I went outside to put a small package in the mailbox, and I was captured by the beautiful silence.  Right now, the weather is perfect.  A clear and cool night.  It reminds me of my years at John Brown University, specifically the Spring.  Sometimes, usually late at night, I would wander the quad or stand on the balcony of the student center, basking in a moment of peace, away from the hectic life that is college.  If I could bottle this gentle breeze that is gently blowing my hair and send it to you, my friend, I would.  Yes, I should be heading for bed.  But moments such as these are rare in Texas, and I must enjoy them while I can.

Thankfully, I'm not prone to mood swings or depression, yet, like everyone, I do have minutes or hours or a day here or there when I'm discouraged or down about something.  A few such moments were included in my happenings this week (fortunately, nothing serious...don't panic ;-)).  I'm grateful for times such as this right now, where all anxiety melts away, and I can feel the Father's embrace through the wind He created.  It reminds me to trust Him no matter how circumstances appear or what matters my silly brain and easily divided heart quarrel over.  He not only knows the answer to every one of my "What?" "Why?" "When?" "Who?" "How?" "Are You sure?" questions, but He has the best route in mind for it all coming together in due time--in His time.

Ok, so, you know those huge mosquito-dragon fly-daddy long legs things?  Well, one just attacked me, making me momentarily jump just a little bit.  I think that's my cue to go inside. :-D

Note:  You probably aren't wondering why I have "blogged" in about a month, but I'll tell you why. ........  Ok, I don't really have an answer, but I think it's because there have been lots of ideas running around in my heart and I wanted to keep them to myself.  I haven't decided yet what it best to share. :)
